Inside Seven Bridges: Delray Beach's Gated Lake Community

Seven Bridges is a 24-hour guarded gated community of roughly 700 single-family homes in West Delray Beach, and it is the address behind 16740 Strasbourg Lane. This is the factual version of what that gate actually opens onto.

What is Seven Bridges?

Seven Bridges was developed by GL Homes as a sister community to the neighboring Bridges, with roughly 700 single-family homes built through the late 2010s. Home sizes range widely across the community, which means mature landscaping and settled streets, with lakefront lots like this one reserved for the water views the name promises.

The entrance is a manned, round-the-clock guarded gatehouse. That is different from communities where the gate is decorative; here there is a guard station on site, which is part of what residents mean when they describe day-to-day life as quiet.

What is inside the gate?

The community clubhouse runs over 30,000 square feet and holds a restaurant, Prime 7, plus a Starbucks counter and a packed social calendar. Outside it: three resort-style pools, a splash pad, playgrounds, and a fitness center, with twelve tennis courts and four pickleball courts for the racquet crowd, and indoor and outdoor basketball for everyone else.

Walking paths thread past the lakes and green space. For a home on a lakefront lot, the practical effect is that the backyard is permanent water and the community grounds absorb the traffic, so a morning walk or an evening lap of the lake does not require leaving the neighborhood.

Where is it, and which schools feed it?

Seven Bridges sits along the Lyons Road corridor in the 33446 zip code of West Delray Beach, minutes from the Florida Turnpike and I-95. Atlantic Avenue runs straight east to downtown Delray Beach and the beach, roughly a 15 to 20 minute drive with normal traffic.

The typical Palm Beach County public school feeder pattern for homes here is Whispering Pines Elementary (K-5), Eagles Landing Middle School (6-8), and Olympic Heights High School (9-12). Boundaries can change, so confirm the current assignment with the school district before relying on it.
